Select the Blog summary page

  1. Select the blog summary page and open the inspector
  2. Click once to select the Titles and Summaries on the page
  3. With the inspector open, click on the last tab (Titles & Summaries) and adjust the layout with the thumbnail showing. This will show the first image in the post, no matter where it is in on the corresponding page.
  4. You can adjust the thumbnail to 256 pixels wide. That's the largest you can make it.

If you want larger, you can follow the instructions on the next screenshots, but you have to be uniform with your blog pages (the image has to go first.

Titles & Summaries

  1. Select the blog summary page and open the inspector
  2. Click once to select the Titles and Summaries on the page
  3. With the inspector open, click on the last tab (Titles & Summaries) and adjust the layout with the Titles and full graphics as shown (second to last selection). This will show the image in the post at the original image size, but it will show it in relation to where it sits on the original page. So you must have the supporting pages show the image first (see the last post with no image...).

Image at top of page

See the image up at the top of the page. This makes a good summary index

Image towards the bottom of the page doesn't show

This doesn't show in the summary page (because it's not in the beginning). This corresponds to the bottom page in the Titles and Summaries collection.
